  • Yes. All Studio J.E.D. ceramic pieces can be customized in color, finish, and size. Because each piece is handcrafted in our Brooklyn studio, we can adapt many of our existing designs to better suit your space and project.

  • Yes. We offer custom RAL and Pantone color matching. Custom glaze samples can be created for interior designers, architects, and clients who need a piece to coordinate with a specific project palette.

  • Yes. Most of our lighting, tables, and ceramic objects can be adjusted in size. We will review the proportions, structural requirements, and functionality of the piece before confirming a custom order.

  • Yes. We welcome custom commissions and enjoy collaborating with clients and design professionals on one-of-a-kind pieces. Please contact us with your dimensions, inspiration, preferred finish, and project timeline.

  • Yes. Studio J.E.D. lighting can be used with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. We recommend confirming that the bulb, dimmer, and electrical components are compatible with one another.

  • Yes. Each table is designed with stability and everyday use in mind. We offer several stability and attachment options depending on the table design, size, weight, and intended placement.

    These options may include recessed metal pucks, steel or brass support plates, silicone pads, UV-bonded hardware, concealed attachment systems, multiple ceramic bases, or widened support surfaces.

  • We evaluate the dimensions and weight of the glass, the amount of overhang, the width and weight of the ceramic base, the table height, and how the table will be used. We will recommend the safest and most appropriate support system for each custom design.

  • Yes. The Studio J.E.D. Wavy Platter is finished with a food-safe glaze and may be used for serving food.

  • No. The Wavy Platter should be washed gently by hand using mild dish soap, warm water, and a soft sponge or cloth.

  • Yes. Finish samples may be available for standard and custom colors. Sample fees and shipping costs may apply.

    Because kiln firing creates natural variation, a sample is intended to represent the general color and finish rather than guarantee an exact match.

  • Lead times vary depending on the piece, quantity, level of customization, and current projects in the studio. The estimated production timeline will be confirmed before your order begins.

    Custom lighting and furniture generally require a longer production period than smaller ceramic objects.
